Day 3

So I'm on day 3 of training and so far, so good. I ran four miles today in 35:47 (just shy of 9 minute miles). I'm feeling a little slow, and it's starting to get hot, but it feels good to get out there anyway. Yesterday I did some core work. I read an article on Runners World about how important a strong core is for running (not doing crunches but strengthening those deep abdominal muscles, your back, and butt). I'm sold. I can feel the strength coming from my core while I run. Guess that's why so many runners love yoga and pilates. So that's gonna be a big focus on my cross training. Alright, only 3 miles tomorrow and five on Saturday. This week is a breeze.
